This statement refers to the Cardiff University Report + Support (Culture Shift) pages: reportandsupport.cardiff.ac.uk and adroddachymorth.cardiff.ac.uk.

Report and Support is a platform for students and staff to report bullying, harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct incidents. For students, reports of urgent mental health concerns can also be made. The full list of what students and staff can report can be found via the form.

The platform is run by Cardiff University but provided by Culture Shift which means there are certain aspects of the platform that are not under our control.

We aim to make this service accessible to as many people as possible. For instance, this means you should be able to:

  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
  • skip to the main content using keyboard navigation;
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software;
  • Use screen readers;
  • Use a range of devices to access Culture Shift Report and Support e.g., mobile phones, tablet, laptop.

Compliance status

The Culture Shift product consists of two different websites: a customisable public website, and an admin dashboard. These websites are built in such a way to be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1 to the AA standard (this is in line with UK government guidance).

How accessible is the website

Although Culture Shift is not a public sector organisation, we recognise that many of our customers have obligations under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, in addition to our legal responsibilities under UK law and ethical responsibilities as good citizens. This statement is made to set out our accessibility standards and to help our customers ensure compliance with their own standards.

We know some parts of this service are not fully accessible, but we are working continuously to develop and improve these areas.

What to do if you cannot access the website?

If you need information on Culture Shift Report and Support in a different format like accessible PDF or large print email either Staffreportsupport@cardiff.ac.uk for staff or Studentsupportinterventionteam@cardiff.ac.uk for students

How is the website tested?

As this is a third-party SaaS solution the vendor has stated that they use a tool called Pa11y. Pa11y is run on the Dashboard and Demonstration website to check compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1 to the AA standard. When Pa11y identifies an issue, Culture Shift handle these as a high priority bug. More information regarding accessibility on this system can be found  here
